Yes, please call for your appointment Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturdays. Our goal is to get you seen as quickly as possible.
Bring your driver’s license or government-issued photo ID and an authorization for your test(s).
There is no preparation for a drug test other than the ability to provide an unadulterated urine sample upon arrival.
DOT or regulated drug testing ("Federal drug testing”) is governed by different rules and procedures than Non-DOT drug collections. We generally perform Federal drug tests for employees and contractors of airlines, railroads, truck drivers, pipeline workers, government employees, coast guard, and others. The main difference (Federal vs Non-Federal) for the consumer is whether your urine goes into one cup versus two for your sample.
Your personal prescription information should never be discussed with the collector. Keep a list of your medications in the event you are contacted by the laboratory for clarification. Do not discuss any medications or medical conditions with the collector. Collectors are not able to assist or advise you regarding any healthcare concerns.
When an employee cannot provide the sufficient volume of urine required for adequate testing (required minimum amount 45ml), this is referred to as “Shy bladder”. The employee is offered 40 ml of fluids over 3 hours so that the collector can get enough urine for testing. If the employee cannot produce the required minimum amount of urine after 3 hours under supervision, he is then referred for a medical evaluation to determine if a medical condition can explain the reason for the employee not being able to provide enough urine. If donor leaves testing facility after providing inadequate urine sample the test will be considered a refusal.
A refusal to test is serious business, it is a violation and can have the same consequences as a positive drug test. Many companies require an immediate termination of employment when an employee refuses a test required by the company. As the designated employer representative (DER) for your company in charge of the drug testing program; it is very important that you understand refusals to test and your responsibility in many instances to make the official determination of the refusal.
Refusals that occur at the collection site are reported to the DER for the DER to make the official determination.
All specimens are collected the same for males and females. DO NOT discuss any medications or medical conditions with the collector. Collectors are not able to assist or advise you regarding any healthcare concerns.
